That's all we need 'Oscars' for civil servants who are supposed to help Hospitality providers.

Lets hope they don't claim expenses for going to this event. When are the Government going to understand we need direct cash help not numerous agencies taking millions out of the economy. The money spent on these quangos could really boost the sectors economy. If HMG gave us all just £10k, most of us would be able to survive another year.

However they give billions to the banks who are still not lending. HMG's claim, no doubt from banking sources claims 60000 businesses have benefited from the various projects. What they probably don't say is that they were not businesses that had every been refused, those that have are still being refused.

Congratulations - we're delighted to hear South West Tourism is a finalist in these awards. We are with you wholeheartedly! Stewardship is the main drive behind our cottage and eco-lodges at Wheatland Farm, North Devon, where we're lucky enough to have a culm grassland site of special scientific interest - Popehouse Moor. We always tell our guests that it's their stay that makes maintaining this special place financially viable and that their visit is making a real contribution to safeguarding Devon's special environment.
