It would be nice if you commented about more than just Cornwall - what about Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Gloucestershire - we just never seem to get a mention and indeed Wiltshire & Somerset get lumped into "other" - it does get a bit galling and meaningless at times - and I quote:

"When broken down by counties, 46% of Cornish businesses reported a decrease in visitor numbers with only 31% of Cornish businesses reporting increases in visitor numbers."

So how on earth do I know how my area is doing?

Thank you for your comment. The most respondents for this particular survey came from the Cornwall area, which is why they were highlighted overall. We unfortunately did not receive enough respondents from other areas to be able to report on their findings in great depth, but would very much like to encourage more businesses to complete future survey's from other parts of the region.

If you would like to help please complete the following short survey: http://www.visitsouthwest.co.uk/swtresearch/survey/bs/jan.htm

Very mixed results. Depends whether your client base has a mortgage or if they live on their savings it seems. Personally I,ve lost most of my weekly bookings from OAPs.

Could be the rain. Any wet weather attractions will presumably have done well and vice-versa.
